Babble On!

Loose Canon Arts has long been presenting very successful shows for primary students all over Asia and the Middle East, but now, with the valuable feedback, advice and assistance from teacher friends who specialise in early childhood learning, we’ve begun creating performances for this particular and special age group.

Babble On! introduces little people to a variety of theatrical devices – storytelling, puppetry, dance and song – while encouraging them to let their imaginations take over. The audience is a vital part of this performance and is encouraged to join in with the performer as she takes them on a strange and fantastic journey.

Liesel and her strange-looking friend, Herr Kleinkopf, pass through three very strange lands on their journey where no one speaks the same language as them. The first only uses the language of dance, the second mime and the third sound – but Liesel and Herr Kleinkopf still manage to make friends and have fun.

Babble On! A little play about trying to get your message across.

Babble On! is a two person performance and can be staged anywhere you have a little space. If you have access to a theatrette or auditorium that would be fine but the piece is probably best performed in a classroom or library where the children feel most comfortable. They will be encouraged to sing along at various points in the show and offer help and suggestions. If they are up for a Q & A session at the end of the performance, we’re happy to stay.
